Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring Field season 2015

Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring (GEM) is an integrated monitoring and long-term research programme on ecosystems and climate change effects and feedbacks in the Arctic. Since 1994 the programme has established a coherent and integrated understanding of the functioning of ecosystems in a highly variable climate, which is based upon a comprehensive, long-term inter-disciplinary data collection carried out by Danish and Greenlandic monitoring and research institutions, primarily at the two main field stations: Kobbefjord area (Nuuk) in low arctic West Greenland and Zackenberg in high arctic Northeast Greenland. 

The 2015 field season at Zackenberg: Any research project planning to implement a scientific activity at Zackenberg Research Station (ZERO – Zackenberg) and/or the branch facility at Daneborg (ZERO – Daneborg) must apply for access to Zackenberg Research Station. This is done by completing and signing the application form and relevant appendixes, and sending them to: The Zackenberg Secretariat zackenberg@au.dk before 16 February 2015. The 2015 field season in the Kobbefjord area: Any research project planning to implement a scientific activity at the field station in the Kobbefjord area, (NERO - Nuuk) must submit an application form no later than 2 month before the beginning of fieldwork.
